Garam Masala - Deep brown mixture of slowly and individually
roasted Indian spices with freshly ground nutmeg. The deep rich
aroma will keep you coming back for more. Garam Masala can be
sprinkled on foods after grilling, frying or even to sweeten a BBQ.
In India it is sprinkled onto to curries before serving.
Balti Masala - A blend of 11 individually roasted then ground spices which can be
used dry or add bit of water or oil and use it as a paste. Mine has
coriander, cumin, cassia, fennel, brown mustard seed, cloves,
nigella, fenugreek seed, fenugreek leaves, curry leaves and
lovage seeds.
Panch Phoron - Bengali 5 Spice Blend - A East Indian spice blend
consisting of the whole spices cumin, fennel, fenugreek, nigella
and black mustard seeds. Use it to flavor lentil dishes, seafood or
vegetables. It is usually fried in oil first.
Sahmbar Masala - A classic South Indian blend commonly used for cooking lentils
and mixed vegetables. We mix roasted red chilies, coriander, cumin, black pepper,
fenugreek, urad dal, chana dal and mung dal with turmeric.
